Canada Grand Prix F1
Anyone going or has been to the F1 race in Montreal?
Trying to get ideas on where to stay, looks like there is camping nearby parc national des îles-de-boucherville but not sure how easy it is to get to the track from there. |

I am from Boucherville, (small world !!) and been to the GP a lot years ago..Easy to go by subway to Ile Ste-Helene, from parking at Longueuil station...Or if you stay at Boucherville the best is going by bus from Boucherville to Longueuil station and then subway (metro) to the ''Ile Ste-Helene.''
If you do not take hotel then I suggest you to go to Camping Ste-Madeleine on highway 20..not far from Longueuil. Bus service is also available from village in Ste-Madeleine to subway stations up to Longueuil.... as for Iles Boucherville it is for wild camping.. I work in California actually since 4 years...you will enjoy Montreal and the Grand Prix. Have fun. Richard |

I have been yes. Do not do GA, buy a seat, i cannot emphasize that enough. And you are already very late with accommodation, stay wherever you can find it. Look at the subway map for convenience to the track because that is how you will be getting there.
Good luck, you're gonna need it this late. |

Im near the track actually, so im at my place
For real, like any big events, prices a crazy. - hotels ask for minimum stay @ increased prices - not much camping next to public transport (if you dont want to commute with your car) I know hotels in the west island are very popular, like the holidayin on the 40, pointe claire. best bet will be RBNB on people who dont thought about the grand prix. Also, most train stations are shutdown for a while. If you dont use your car : taxi, bus, subway, uber, bixi. lol |
