Art Schools in Los Angeles

Hey guys.. currently I attend a community college but need to transfer out to an art school. I had Pasadena Art Center in mind but after visiting and speaking to few of my friends that go there, im not very much impressed. I also read about Gnomon but they don't give a degree when you graduate so thats out of the question. I either want to do web design or visual effects for movies and commercials.

Do any of you guys know any art schools in LA that are very good at either one of these subjects?

what kind of art are you interested? all depends on what sub-field you want to go into... East Coast has some very good art schools, haven't heard much from West Coast though...

For visual effects you should look at Pratt Institute, web design I'm not too sure though..

Thats in New York...I guess there arent any good schools in LA

FIDM is a good and famous... had friends that went there.
