2010 BMW 535i?

[SIZE="3"]I recently sold my wifes 2004 BMW 325i sedan and am looking to replace it with a bigger car. I was checking the BMW dealerships and came across a brand new 2010 BMW 535i sedan, Jet Black with Cream Beige interior. It has the Sport/Premium/Value package and Sport Automatic transmission. The MSRP is $56,670. The invoice on KBB is $51,890. I offered the dealership $49,000 out-the-door. The SA called me back and said his manager would accept the deal if I wanted to move forward with it. Deal, or No deal [SIZE]

New 5-series are out, so you'll get great deals on the outgoing model, especially since it's sitting in their inventory.
I'm surprised they came back without trying to counteroffer you a number. Almost seems like there may be more room to work with.

Under invoice pricing to include TT&L is always a bonus. Go for it if you like it.

Sales tax where you live is 8.75% so if you take out just sales tax from the $49,000 you are looking at ~ $44,700. That seems like a really good deal. Around 20% off MSRP. I'd go for it.

Be careful. For some dealers, "out the door" does not include sales tax.

What is the invoice cost? I know BMW was giving 6k on any 2010 5 series back in June. I got mine for over 10k off sticker. so about 12k off sticker 3 months later seems about right. there may be more room to negotiate though.

The invoice is $52,000. I'm going to lower my original offer of $49k out the door to $48k out the door. That is basically $44k+$4k (tax, lic & fees) to bring the total to $48k (out the door). I'm still checking Cali. for a Space Gray on Gray 535i with Prem & Sport Package which is my 1st choice in color combo.

If you haven't pulled the trigger yet, if you can stall them to the end of the month, they may be more incented to sweeten the deal in order to better their sales numbers for October.

How did it work out for ya? I've found it's tough to get a lower price than the number you toss at them. They tend to call your bluff since they know you were willing to buy at 49k out the door. Now they feel whatever price they agree to, will result in you coming back with an even lower offer. So they pretty much have to reject 48k or you might come back with an offer 47k. Of course if there's ever an exxeprion to that rule it's in this situation.

No nav in that car. Logic 7?

For the money I would be searching for 08 or 09 CPO models with more goodies. I just got my 08 535i sport, premium, shades, navigation, cold weather, satellite, etc. for 31800 from an individual. Similar CPO cars are in the mid to high 30's.

I guess without nav there is one less reason to need a 2010 over an 08 or 09. A big reason I got the 2010 was I couldn't stand 3-6 more years with the super slow dvd based idrive in the 08 and 09's.

I'm guessing the 08 you picked up private party for $31,800 doesn't have the extended warranty a CPO would have. So I'm guessing you have about a year left of warranty and free maintenance. So you can either roll the dice on your car expenses after that or pay like 5-6 grand for an extra two years of warranty and maintenance. Even if you do that, you either need to get a new car after owning your 535 for just 3 years or roll the dice on driving a 6 year old German car out of warranty and pre-paid maintenance.

Buying a left over 2010 535 now can wind up being a very good deal.

consider these points:
-If you prefer the LCI e60 looks over the f10.
-Unlike the 550, you are getting the same hp numbers on you 2010 as a 2011 has.
-You are getting a twin turbo with years of tuned testing behind it instead of a single turbo if tuning is a consideration.
-The hpfp on the 2010 is the same as on the 2011, so no difference there.
-In a lucky break for e60 fans you get the much improved hard drive based idrive in the 2010, which is exactly the same as you'd get in a 2011.
-Regardless of how long its been on the lot you still get 4 full years warranty and free maintenance.
-I believe late production 2009 and 2010 were the only years you could get the M package for the 535(which my left over bargain was lucky enough to have, along with the special order interior code LCCC, which is cream seats with black carpet and center console).

So if you prefer the e60 look you can get a brand new 2010 535i for $45-$50k depending on options or a 3 yr old CPO for $35-$40k, as you mentioned. If you add upgrading the maintenance on the CPO your talking more like $37-$42k. So for essentially $8k more you can get a brand new car with probably 40,000 fewer miles on it, the newer idrive and an extra year of warranty and maintenance included compared to getting a 2008.

Of course all this is irrelevant since almost all new 2010's are gone.

Hey everyone, I have a 2010 bmw 535i with 116k miles, I got a Engine malfunction reduced power light on dashboard and I was wondering how to fix it. I have a few codes displayed on a code reader
• 2AA1(DME: Camshaft sensor, exhaust, signal)
•3100(DME: Boost-pressure control, deactivation)
• A2CD(CON: Control unit, undervoltage)
Help would be very much appreciated, Thanks!
