I started off in mechanical engineering and fall back on it's discipline all the time in my current role. I miss materials most of all. I worked with CF too long ago to admit and ran the materials lab at school.

You seem like one of those guys who can just quit cold turkey. While I've never really drank before, I do have an addictive personality. Replacing one vice for a healthier one has worked for me in the past.

You probably don't need any of this advice but this type of stuff has weened me off of guns, electronics, clothes, or when just buying new shit has gotten out of hand.

.....Start exercising more. Get a blender and become the smoothie man for healthy morning drinks, volunteer your time to help needy families, become a Big Brother, start a DIY renovation project on your pad.

Yeah I'm going to order it today when I get home.

Appreciate it man. I've quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey before, stopped yayo cold turkey, but this might be different, we will see. I definitely need to get back to being more active if I want to keep my mind off it, because exercise was half assed when drinking. It just became accepted after a while of normal routine, but I think it's because my head wasn't where it should have been from feeling down.

Unfortunately DIY needs to wait, unless these are winning lottery numbers in my pocket.
