If you had to chose between the EF 300mm f/4L IS or the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS, what would you choose and why? The reason I'm considering either is because I feel like the telephoto capabilities on my 70-200mm f/4L IS isn't enough on the full-frame.

Btw, this would go on a 5D2.

100-400. the 300 f/4 is a good, sharp lens, but it's not versatile and it's not a good aperture. f/4 at 300 is accomplished with a 70-200 2.8 and a 1.4xTC. what you lose in aperture with the 100-400, it makes up for with versatility.
