This reminds me of what they tried to do with the 3.0 CSL concept to pay tribute to the original car; the original completely destroyed their updated design.
If they really wanted to pay tribute, BMW should have taken an awesome example of the 2002 and gone on a massive tour across Germany to display it. Trying to update these classics via a modern design just isn't working. |

Its perfect. The current 2er finds its roots within the 2002 just as the M2 can find its past and future genealogy in the 2002 Turbo.
