I am not a lawyer or vigilante so don't take this as legal advice or permission...I'd love to see one of these cabbies or private citizens pull a taser or pepper spray out and hit the perps with it. Perhaps if one of them had this happen to them, their buddies would think twice before getting what's behind door number 2.

Do you really think the court is going to convict and punish them? Guessing they will get convicted of a minor misdemeanor and given some community service. Not the kind of punishment likely to make others like them to pause and rethink.

Dude, the NYC newspapers spent 3 years on trying to convince the World there was Republican "Russian Collusion" in the in 2016 election, when in fact it was the Democrats who colluded with the Ruskies.

Show me an article where they get more than a slap on the wrist. Show me where the last time this happened in NYC the perpetrators were aggressively found and charged. Perhaps being local you know more so post it. Help us poor flyover hicks out.

Well I am curious to see the outcome. I have not jumped to a premature conclusion. I opine what I expect to happen. I base that on the failure of the current leadership of NYC to do much in the face of recent riots and looting. I expect DeBlasio to blame the driver of the car at some point. Maybe they'll suggest midnight basketball again.

This is what happens when you elect liberal DA.

Same problem here in San Francisco. A parolee for robbery killed 2 women on New Year's Eve in a hit and run with a stolen vehicle. SF DA refused to file new charges even though he was arrested in November and December for car theft.
