Malkin is a fucking monster and if you run your head into his shoulder... its not going to be pretty.

All Malkin did was brace himself when he saw Oshie looming. To be honest, he probably flinched a bit thinking Oshie may lay the body on him. What was he supposed to do, jump out of the way?!

Pens side...he hit the head. New rules, got what he should have. Didnt think it deserved a suspension, doesnt appear that it will be looked at.

Needless Oshie got the last laugh...no?

Very entertaining hockey thus far this season, impossible to predict games outcomes, nice to see some younger stars stepping up to the plate too !

"Quick" update on the Kings. Not only do we not have J Quick, we don't have our backup now for a few weeks as Campbell (doing decent) was injured in the last game and will require surgery. We've got someone named Cal Petersen to step in from the minors. He apparently has a 4.29 GPG average and .881 save percentage!! WATCH OUT FOLKS IT COULD GET UGLY---ER!

The NHL doesn't know what to do with Tom Wilson (who would have been a superstar in the older NHL - where hits like his were allowed and highlighted by NHL advertisements regularly (Scott Stevens)).

First game back, he scores a goal and gets a goalie interference penalty on the same play.

How is that even possible?

I thought you either get the goal OR the penalty, not both. Ridiculous....

Just go to the independent arbitrator and get the suspension reduced.
Like freaking Austin Watson... Suspended 27 games for beating his gf or wife and then gets it reduced to 18.

Dept of player safety is clearly trying to set a precedent for this sort of stuff but the arbitrator reducing it doesn't send a good message.

TJ Oshie with supposedly another concussion in the game vs. Winnipeg last night.

Great player, lots of time left on the contract, but at what point do you just hang it up and say you've had a good career and you want to preserve something for after hockey????

Yep, interesting trade - assuming they are both fairly equals just needing a change of scenery... we'll see how each helps their new club. Thats ultimately what decides the winner/loser in these sorts of deals.
