T-Bone...totally off topic but I've always found that Enzo quote funny. Ferrari F1 cars have some of the best areodynamics in the F1 field year after year. Their engines aren't the most powerful (generally BMW's put out the most HP) but they win a ton of races.
I was considering not posting since this thread is starting to look like a IM chat log...but, this started cause a guy tried to say damn, my 335 is fast. As a BMW fan since 91' I can agree that the 335 is a fast 3 series, and why can't everyone else, the 335 is a damn quick car. Who cares, so an M is faster. I think everyone here knows that. I love BMW's...sure for $50k I could build a Civic w/NOS, etc., and beat a BMW in a quarter mile race....who cares? It is not a BMW. My only point is that it is pretty sad that the arguement has gone on this long. I love BMW, they make great cars. I love my 335 as much as my 91' 325i which is slow as shit...anyone want to race me? I could take any mini van for sure...well maybe not those new 6 cyl. Quests..

Here's another childish thread about 'a car' being faster than another.
http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81374 The guy driving 'a car' needs to prove something.... Small one eh? |

I can't wait for the day you run with a PROcede 335i...it should wipe that pompous smirk right off off your face in a hurry. EDIT -- yes, I deleted my post; thought I was a bit harsh, but now that you started in again...STFU and get the F out, you F'er!

I do not know where you come from but where I come from manners are not optional. I will never run into a 335i with or without ProCede because I have nothing to prove and do not engage in 'races'. |

enfield, thanks you've proven my point...I don't think the thread started out with the title "335i - God's gift to car-kind". So I'm not sure where that that came from???
This thread reminds me of the bs I hear at work about Audi vs. BMW: Is the RS4 faster than an M3 (which one?), is the S4 faster than a 335, is the RS6 faster than an M5/6. What is sad is that pretty much everyone posting is a BMW owner. Quit hating. So basically the forums cannot have a post where a car is said to be "fast"... and you can't ever post that you have any of the following: LUX 1.0 to 4.0, PIAA, Eisenmann, Borla, Dinan, Procede, XEDE, JBv1, JBv2, TurboTuner, or a hampster that runs in an exercise wheel in your engine bay that adds 0.000001 psi more boost. Someone will always have something to say besides something positive.

enfield,
I guess you really LOVE your Z4M, huh? You say it gets worse mileage than your SUV (16-18mpg) and it loses ALL the time when compared to the Porsche Cayman S by the car mags. In addition, apparently you're SO satisfied with your Z4M that you're definitely getting rid of it and looking at either the Audi RS5 (yeah right ), a Porsche, or you'll get nothing an drive your SUV...all this when your lease on the Z4M is over of course; but for now, your stuck with your Z4M...I feel so sorry for you. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showpost...13&postcount=5 Since your posting history proves that pretty much all you do on this Forum is either bash the 335i or argue about religion and the Iraq War; so, why don't you just go back to arguing about religion and leave this community, you dumbas$. btw -- if your "SUV" you drive is the Infiniti FX45 (which really isn't an SUV...more of a Crossover)...you definitely don't get better mileage than your Z4M; I drove a loaded FX35 and got 15-16mpg city / 20mpg hwy, so i know the 8 cyl. FX45 gets worse mileage than that. I loved both my loaded and modded Infiniti '04 G35 Sedan and loaded '03 FX35 btw...great cars.

Who invited the Z4M owners here?
Last time I checked this was E90 board. I'm amazed how intimidated they are because "a regluar" 3 series, beat their M car that they need to come here and try to post crap about the 335. All you M owners, make the 335 drivers offensive/cocky, because you always post crap about us. All that Slfgator said wat that he keept up with an E60 M5 up to 90mph...and you turn it into a war. PS...I think this thread is going to get closed soon.

Everyone needs to STFU and let this shit die. It's embarrassing to read.
An extra STFU to the people who claim to have nothing to prove and are above "racing" yet can't seem to leave this thread alone. Take your own advice, grow up, and GTFO. |

Well it was fun while it lasted. HAHA. Technically this isn't an E90 thread, its a bimmerpost thread, and anyone who is a bimmerpost member can post here.... http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...t=80827&page=8 Anyway. I never doubted slfgator, I just don't get the whole E90 thing. But I think the one thing we can agree on at least, is that the 335i and the Z4M are both great cars, otherwise their owners wouldn't be so passionate about them. So who cars which one is faster, just enjoy what you got, and if someone bad mouths your ride, oh well. Life goes on. Just remember that YOU love your car.

Tuned 335i's are very quick and I don't doubt that on a good day they can hang with an M5 for short periods of time. M5 is not a 911turbo or even a Corvette Z06 for that matter. It's a quick sedan but not the end all be all of sports sedans. Their 0-60MPH is ~ 4.3seconds stock. A Procede'd 335 with a good driver could reach sub 4.5 0-60 time plus it has oodles of low end torque. Now, with that said, which one would I rather drive? I'd take the M5 any day of the week over a 335. And 97% of the time it will whoop the 335.
