Everyone is so nice, makes me want to vomit.
Or in rural Georgia..."She don't look like she from 'Round Here."

I ride like an asshole out of necessity, not want.
Bikes get a free pass in my book. Unless you look/act squidly, I get that.

Part of the reason I went back to cars for fun rather than a bike was dealing with exactly that. Just made me too paranoid if I was constantly dodging traffic. Open roads though, damn I miss that.

I take the reward for the risk. I've had some really fucking close calls, but once that adrenaline shoots through my body..., something about it just feels so good.

You're damn, I never back down. Assert dominance.
You're safer being aggressive on a bike. I'd always pretend that i was invisible. Very nearly the case, so i figured i'd roll with it.

It's a drug man.

Whatever thread I posted the pic of my dislocated shoulder... I wrapped it up and rode the back bowl at Kirkwood the next day.

If it says there's a 60% chance of rain at some point in the day, I'll still ride, and usually end up getting soaked and looking like an idiot...., but the time where it is sunny on the ride..., totally worth it.

Nice, that is a big jump between bikes. Why'd you make the switch?

I used to have a '08 SV650 that I sold earlier this year. Loved that thing, my riding skills will never surpass what that bike was capable of. Not much top end, but so much torque around town.

Sold the zx10 because I needed money at the time, along with other things. Bought the 650 because it was a good bike for the price brand new.

Honestly, the 650 I can put down and scrape the pegs. It handles fucking awesome. Only thing that sucks is it feels sooooooooo slow in comparison.

650cc bikes these days are pretty awesome. BIG difference between 600cc bikes of the late 90s. If i were to get a bike today, i'd get a 600 - 650 range bike. Light weight, handles better, tons of fun!

I started off with a 900rr but jumped to an RC51 shortly there after. So much fun. Love the sound of sport V-twin with pipes.

Friends don't let friends have squared off back tires!

Same reason I sold mine.

The smaller bikes are fun to toss around. Good you can have some fun with it even if it does have half the power.

You guys have nailed it all on the head... I switched to a liter bike once (R1) and never did that again... It's just STUPID fast for the streets of LA... 83 mph in first gear is just... Unnecessary for someone who doesn't have that much self control... Plus with our canyons, a 600 is more fun to flick around... Besides all that, it is very unlikely many of us will ever max out the potential on a 600, let alone a liter bike...

With that said though, I have this secret love affair going with the 1000rr that I am losing my inner struggle with, lol...

I prefer a 600 over a litre bike on the street any day.......but for insane roll-ons and insane power wheelies the litre bike wins.
I like to think of 600 as precision cutting tools and the litre bikes as a game of Russian roulette....quite opposite metaphors but that's my take.
