call me a snob, but I try to avoid dealing with people who are of the lowest social class. They usually don't have much to lose and aren't very developped in the "let bygones be bygones" philosophy.

They feel they need to prove their selfworth by showing you that they are the physical alpha male. I can take care of myself and all, but I don't believe physical violence solves anything. Wannabe thug didn't learn his lesson, he isn't going to start controlling his emotions. He lashed out at EBM because he was pissed.
People like wanna-be thug are batshit crazy and too unpredictable and willing to fight over stupidities. They don't weigh their actions, and you can't reason with them (as EBM tried to do).

I prefer just avoiding them all together :P
