If the team thinks getting opened is useless with Kobe being the ballhog, then they should help pick and roll for a better Kobe shot. Standing around is not the right thing to do.
Kobe is not just any player, he's the star of the team. If he's not making his shots, you either sub him out or help him. I just don't think he's making poor shots. He shoots like that all the time, he gets them in at times, and sometimes not. However, I do agree he should pass a bit more after knowing he's on a cold streak. I remembered watching a video, he said if the 5th shot doesn't go on, the 6th must go in.....(something along those lines). It's who he is, he's stubborn. I just don't see this is completely negative. Keep shooting sometimes gets him back into the flow of the game. |

I honestly think if he didn't play there at the end the Lakers probably would have won. But you're right, sometimes his selfishness is the reason they win games...tonight unfortunately it was just the opposite. |

Yep, I just accept the wins and losses all together.
However, I did see him trying to make plays....attracting the double team. He's not really point guard material, but he is useful in attracting defenders. But his teammates are usually just standing around without cutting in. Gasol is usually decent with those cuts but he's not having a good night either. Another factor was George Karl. He did some nice coaching today, got to give him some credits too. |

Yup, shot even more today. It's not going to fly once they start losing.

Rubio is good, but to be considered an elite PG, one must be either really fast or has really smooth skills. Rubio is neither. Now onto today's game... I have no problems with Kobe shooting that much. Lakers aren't too suitable to make the extra pass anyways. As I'm not a huge fan of Mike Brown, I don't see them using any plays what so ever. So...I'd rather they go with plan "Ball to Kobe". On a sidenote, I noticed that whenever Lakers start losing, they rarely comeback and win. This is kinda the coach's job. I wish Mike Brown can do something about this. They really need to get rid of Fisher, or at least get better PG. Lakers often lose to fast PG teams. No one in the team can keep up with fast PGs, and when they double team or get Kobe to guard the PG, it screws up the whole matchup. Anyone notice some similarities of CP3 and Iverson? |
