Mine's in an X2010 against lm or normal cars - still brakes and slows down behind them till the straights! Crap!

I gave my guy a race modded '69 Camaro and could barely pass some old Alfas and Hondas for that beginner level classics race. I was about to sack him lol.

And thanks for the tips, I'll just hope mine actually gets faster.

I just don't like my AI-Bobs were slacking off once they have a bit lead.
One bad thing about B-Spec was AI will slow down and relax once there's no cars around him.

In real racing (such as F1), once you have a "comfortable" lead such as 20 secs. You don't just relax and let the P2 guy catch up. You either build more gap little by little, or pace the P2 driver at the same pace.

Can someone explain why the McLaren MP4-12C is such an understeerer?

Some of the mid-engine cars have quirky handling in this game. Just don't get the LP670-4SV. I was disappointed

All the AWD cars have quite a bit of resistance towards turning-in. I adjusted brake balance 4:7 and that turned out nicely without messing with the suspension as the McLaren didn't respond well to tweeking. I literally tried the most extreme over-steering setup and still had a boat-load of understeer. I just went back to the fixed sport setup and murdered the British lightweight @ 2:37.

You're right, AWD feels weird in this game. I'll try that brake setup when I can  Also I guess lightening it up would help a bit too

I know the 670 is awful. Like it is on ice skates. I have no idea who was in charge of the physics in this game but they got a lot of it all wrong. Not to mention the engine sounds. Combine all of that and this game is becoming boring and null.

I'm waiting for the day when video game makers figure out the Murcielago and the Gallardo sound different. I think Forza 3 was the only game I've ever played where they sounded different.

Yes and F3 also did a good job with the Carrera GT. It sounded pretty good.

Who the F*** model the distance board in Monza as a concrete board???!!!!
Had a 6 sec lead on my Formula GT...on the last lap, at Lesmo....hit the 50m board and literally stopped my car from 130mph to zero immediately....of coz....i'm stuck as well, by the time i reversed out....the other cars hit me back to the board and stuck again....

FAWK...gotta rant....

just spend the entire morning tackling and on the championship....and only won indy and nurburgring....messed up the last corner on the last lap at Fuji can only managed P2....and Monaco was a mess....i just gave up Suzuka coz the entire car went way too twitchy even with rain tires and full ABS/TC....

Other than some crap on Monza, the entire FGT championship was the best in GT5....challenging, focus, force you not to make mistakes....

Not sure if any of you guys regularly go to GT Planet or not, but this is a very interesting article about a bug in the game that can kill your game.

Just backed up the game last night....and I've been ignoring the museum stuff...so hopefully the bug won't attack until I'm starting to get bored and abandon the game...

so pretty much saying GT5 is too ambitious for PS3....too much data, physical memory required to run complex graphics...

Out of curiosity, what kind of differential setups do you all run for rally cars?

I've been tuning the center diff on my STi. It's got a hair under 340bhp and I'm trying to get that power as best down to the gravel and snow as possible with some different setups.

It's kind of annoying that you can't tune during a race to see how small adjustments affect your car.

people need to start setting some of their b-spec drivers to "online" status. it's win/win.

Do you ahve to leave your PS3 on all the time/ If so I dont want to do that. Sure fire way to kill it fast. I dont see how you can do the regular B-spec races remotely. Seems like only others can use it for random races or you can use it for random races. I have not messed with it much though.

You can turn the PS3 off once you have set them (drivers) to share online. Remote races that you can do need the PS3 on however.
