They put the Ferrari's on the FIA scale , and suddenly they run slower . I don't get it !

The surprise of the day is the Japanese Yuki Tsunoda at P6 .

Ocon got loose and went into ALO definitely his fault there - but there is no reason they couldn’t be giving each other more room there. ALO easily could have been more right had plenty of room and it would have made zero difference to him - except that he wouldn’t have gotten collected by OCO. Wasn’t just ALO too all the drivers were doing that to each other all over the track.

Tsunoda and Norris are summoned for exceeding the time limit between the Safety Car lines during qualifying.

Let's see whether they get a penalty or no further action.

I missed the shootout, but just saw the highlights.
OCO and ALO stil aren't friends

And both AT's in SQ3, that's pretty good, and totally different from yesterday's qualifying.
I wonder where those big differences come from.

I expect NOR to be pretty aggressive in the sprint, defending against Max in the sprint.
He hasn't won a race yet and was not very pleased PIA winning one before him.
Now is his chance

Here it is, looks to me like OCO was just too fast for the turn and he corrected going into ALO.

Ocon yanked his steering wheel to the right and subsequently to the left to correct a slide. Looks like he slid at high speed into Alonso, who was driving slowly in the 2/3 section of the track (not in the middle, but steering towards the middle to negotiate the left-hand turn).

Let's see what the stewards decide.

Amazing that ALO's wheel was knocked hard with the wheel rim ends ripped off and the wheel locked solid with shattered hub yet the tyre stays inflated being driven on a rubber goo mass allowing him to limp back to the pits.

Definitely was Ocons fault not saying it wasn’t. He made an error and the correction sent him into ALO. Just saying they can give a bit more room - no reason to even put yourself there when have a bit more room right and it will mean absolutely nothing to move out there against your warm up prep. Lot of really close flybys today seemed more than normal.

I saw two issues. First, ALO steered towards the left side of the track when he probably should have let OCO pass first.

Second, OCO did not have his car under control and slid off line into ALO.

It’s a racing incident.

Who knows what the stewards will say.

Both drivers got handed a reprimand by the stewards.
