I'm curious. Do most brits prefer tea over coffee? Or is that a stereotype?

I'll go with that google survey, Twinings up there with me but Yorkshire tea tastes like rust water so no wonder they advertise it constantly with Sean Bean yelling his head off.

I was going to ask if "paper plates" sounded fancier in French like just about everything else, but I just ran it through Google translate and had a Beavis and Butthead chuckle at the results.....

Found a neat little place on the Ohio and West Virginia border. Food and service was fantastic and my wife and I are really bummed they are so far away. Was called Philippines Best Food.

My favorite cornichons are very hard, if not impossible to find in the US. Which ones do you prefer?

Smoked salmon, on toasted home made bread with cornichons. Didn’t get a photo while on the plate.

King (chinook) salmon caught in Lake Michigan on the same trip as the steelhead. It was a nice time on the water.

Toor dal

Indian lentil stew with the usual pantheon of spices. Garnished with a fried tadka using the spice base from the lentils, plus mustard seeds, chili powder and curry leaves. Accompanied with vegetable pickle (achar).

A mind bending flavor experience. Vegetarian and gluten free.
