FWIW, the upside-down photo thing is common with pictures taken by an iPhone. Something about Apple's tools using the three-axis accelerometer data from the phone to display images in the proper orientation. Google probably has a better explanation.....

Groan. Remember this the next time you consider complaining about poor cell reception. If it weren't for RF engineers and ugly antennas, you wouldn't have cell service.

(proverbial 'you': anyone reading this)

This is sexy:

Having gone through high school and explaining to classmates why I lived in a house with an antenna array on the roof that looked like it belonged on a Star Wars Imperial At-At, I appreciate the work of RF engineers...and proper lightning grounds!

(Dual crossed yagi antennas, on an azimuth/elevation 3D rotor system. Good for working the Soviet and American satellites of the day, and a chat with a Space Shuttle Columbia astronaut [now-SK] during the ham in space mission.)

Back to the topic, I made a 911 curbside house number address sign yesterday, for the lakeside lot my DW and I are under contract to buy. No pictures, but I think that it came out well.....)
