Any accident you can walk away from is a good one!!!

Still don't think he is ready for F1. It's not like he is dominating IndyCar.

Exactly . There were flames , probably from scraping over the tarmac .

Think he lost it by lack of grip ..and then hits the wall and went airborne upside down ...

Incredible !

Lol yeah I definitely saw the posts of the weather forecasts, which adds to my pessimism. I expect carnage if it rains, it’ll take some luck to even finish this track in the rain and to duck the crashes happening all around you. I’d put my money on less than 10 cars making it to the finish line if there’s moderate rain

With that latest prognosis of rain more likely to happen it won't matter that much if the DRS won't open, the danger is of it staying open.

Looks like Herta was caught out by the back wash from car in front which robbed him of downforce.

Just read that the Ferrari PU's were again in trouble after FP1 thereafter being quick in FP2, is there an underlying problem with them and was the FP2 performance just a temporary quick fix. I guess that the boost was quali turned up for FP2.

Will the Merc engines last? HAM's could barely control his car with the stiff hangers but softening it up will mean going slower around those quick curves and RUS's younger human frame is taking punishment in it's stride to keep ahead of him.
Still no news of the state of their PU's after the overheating in Spain, knowing Merc it would be a PU swap for the race probably.

A rear suspension setting change on Checo's car and he gets FP3.

The Russell boy : The bouncing is so crazy that I lost contact with the tarmac with my 2 front wheels .

Further Russell said : It actually feels like a whielie !

I think it's going to be an interesting qualifying session.

Is Checo gonna get pole, and drive away tomorrow from the rest to win the race?
100% motivated (or frustrated ) after last week's team decision?

Was Max sandbagging?
Or is Ferrari gonna dominate?

Max was rightly cursing and throwing 'thought knives' at the Alfa that ruined his quick lap.

Merc are going to have to soften their suspension to get rid of the 'wheelie bin' effect, I reckon they'll do it for the race but still have the stiff set up for quali to get a higher grid position.

If they're going to soften their suspension, they'll probably have to increase their ride height.

That's right, they could do that for the race with the driver's in mind and their personal health blocking the ones behind with their own pace.
