Such a beautiful martial art. Those guys are so skilled. Can you imagine fighting like that in real life like they did just a few hundred years ago? Someone would be killed in a short couple seconds, and the Victor would most likely be severely wounded. I've been in combat over seas I can can tell you that pulling a trigger doesn't take a tenth of the nerve it would take to face an enemy in a clash of katana... or any other type of sword for that matter. The Samurai were true warriors indeed. After all these year of training in Karate and Muay Thai, I've decided to take up a less "contact " discipline... so I found a nice Aikido dojo in Valley stream that I plan on enrolling this winter. I hope I can further my swordsman ship training there, since Aikido was the default unarmed martial art of the samurai. Thanks again for the great videos. Very inspiring because I was a little hesitant to step out of my comfort zone. These videos are motivation for me to try something new, while revisiting something familiar.

1. Racquetball- I learn how to lose, and not to fear losing. In racquetball, a person just slightly better or people who are not full 100% at same level can be beaten 15-4. 2. Kendo- I totally agree with your statement in fights. I realized there is no real win in any type of fight (sword or firearm). You may win and survive, but there will be serious damage like loss of limb, or 80% loss in joint movements. Biggest and smartest warriors are ones who will talk themselves out of fight, and also spare opponent's life. LOL |

I want to be the way you mentioned. to be able to talk Mt way out,and walk away from someone less skilled in the ways of self control. Unfortunately, I grew up in BK and have been stationed many many places, and depending on the situation, and my mood I can have a slip up and "one up" my antagonist by using the "escalation of force" approach. I'm much better at control than I was 10 years ago... but my little incident last Wednesday has reminded me that,I'm still a work in progress, lol
