That actually makes a lot of sense. After discharging from the military, I slowly phased out doing abdominal training. I actually don’t do any focused abdominal training now (I’ve gotten complacent I guess, and lazy about it).

just yesterday i had some new guy do this to me. i was doing dumbell shoulder presses on the seated bench and this guy stands right in front of me. I got into an argument with two dudes a couple days ago who did this exact same thing. I'm standing no more than 5 feet from the lat pulldown, my water bottle, keys, and phone are literally directly next to the seat. I like to perform a movement then get up and stretch the muscle to get blood flow moving / loosen up. I'm standing right there watching this guy begin to pick up my stuff and move it...

Guy starts smiling and giggling. Other guy puffs his chest out. Silence for like a solid 7 seconds. Then puffed-out chest douche goes, "Wouldn't common sense prevail and tell you to sit at the seat if you're using it?" And I respond, "Wouldn't common sense prevail and tell you to use any of the other two lat pulldowns where there isn't someone's stuff?" Douches just walk off and go to the next lat pulldown.

Yes, out of the three exact same lat pulldown machines, these two douches make the well-informed rational decision to move my stuff and use that machine, rather than just walk 10 feet to the right and use any of the other two ones that were empty...

I am so happy mostly everyone has proper etiquette at my gym. Rarely new people but same people every day...it feels almost like family you don't interact with, because they are busting there ass in there everyday and you get used to seeing them... I always hover around something and take a gander around before I start using something. I always leave for water and usually my stuff isnt taken so I return teh favor

I know a lot of people that carry at the gym. You can't predict when or where it will be needed. If you only take it certain places you might as well take it no place.
