I'd say moles are more likely. Take care of them quick before they do too much damage. Get a honeybadger.

The Dwarf Tri-Color Sumac that I planted last year from tiny sticks, are doing very well. They will eventually grow to about 5'X5' at maturity.

Leaf season is about it do what it does here in Central Florida. That means loads of oak tree leaves killing the grass if not removed.
Besides raking - what methods or machines do you recommend? I prefer not to pay someone else to do it, though I have in the past, and that is my last resort typically. |

I use a powerful blower to move them into piles before I scoop them up into the trailer for removal to the community leave pile for disposal. You just gotta get that crap off the lawn one way or another.

I just hard the mulch around the patio removed. It was replaced with red stones with aluminum edging. We got tired of the dogs dragging in mulch.

Doing a lot of yard work and putting the flower beds to sleep. But as everything is dying around them, the Asters are just getting into their own and will continue to bloom until November.

Preparing for the Summer ritual of planting tons of annual Flowers in my Garden. I wasn't happy with the drip irrigation and coverage the Builders installed. So I finally had my entire system redone. I forgot to snap a before pic. But this is after. And it is night and day!!!
I should not have to manually water this Summer! |

Our experience has been that if you live in a climate where rain cannot be depended upon to keep your garden(s) alive and healthy, a well-designed and operating drip irrigation system solves so many problems. We drip-irrigated the beds in these photos, and more besides. I don't know if it added to the value when we sold, but the reduction in our annual labor to maintain these beds made it so worthwhile. Not shown (except the stone beds in the first photo) are veggie beds that also benefited from drip irrigation.

And WOW... I love what you did there. I absolutely LOVE Flowers! The look, color and aroma. Stay tuned. My Botanical Garden is coming... I'm actually awaiting a special order Hardy Hibiscus to add to my current pair I already have. I've learned the secret of making them bloom like crazy! |

My grass is pretty green with all the recent rains. Wife/I planted a bunch of pots full of flowers, they have all risen up but no blooms yet. Roses are beautiful, especially the fire/ice.
I spent almost a full day, and have the sunburn to show for it, clearing 3/4 of the garden from all the weeds. A whole new patch emerged this winter, something I hadn't seen in the garden before. At least none of those spiky venomous kinds. Possibly Friday I go and take a gander at the available pots of chilis. I bought some mycelium to plant them all with. Will possibly do some control plants to see if worth it. Have some plant/mineral solution left to spray once they all start to grow.

Here's a few from my patio.
I planted my entire front garden a few day ago. I'll let it develop for a couple of weeks and post up pics... |
