Yeah, mine had swivel buckets and the 454 and would be worth gobs of money now. But it rusted really badly like they all did here in MN. Ended up with the door skins flapping and rattling as I drove down the freeway.

I pass in whatever lane allows me to get past the pokey f*cks. I can't stand it when some drooling dolt is putting along at 5 MPH below the speed limit in the left lane, and a bunch of other dolts pile up behind him/her as if doing so will somehow turn the lead dolt into a good and considerate driver. So now I've got a 10-car train to try to get around, instead of all of us just flowing past in some other available lane(s). Makes zero sense.

After piling behind the lead dolt, they would then insist on their place in that line being super important while you try to duck in and out to finally pass the whole caravan.

I've recently discovered that if I stop thinking of those cars as having terrible drivers in them but instead as non-thinking automatons that are just poorly programmed, I am far more patient and get far less angry and then just pass them once I get a chance.

Isn't that just priceless? It's like someone screaming "Motherf*cker, I'm the 3rd stupidest and most gutless f*cktard in this particular circle-jerk, and I'll be f*cked if I'm going to let you demote me to the 4th position!"

That's a great Zen mindset-management technique and I admire you for it. I'll try to remember it and give it a shot. But in my current mindset, does it really matter? They're in my f*cking way, and I don't really care if they're Lewis Hamilton or Helen Keller. They need to get the f*ck out of my way. Bigger picture, they need to knock off their childish, petty, passive-aggressive antisocial behavior and act like situationally-aware considerate adults.

If I'd fortified myself with 'Ludes, none of it would have bothered me in the least. I would have sailed right through the whole thing. On the shoulder, at 15 MPH. After my 2-hour nap.

I thought I was an aggressive driver. Your rants remind me of myself speaking while not at work. I've been told my rants sound like mix-mosh of Andrew Dice Clay and Dennis Leary.

Most here are my dads age+

Some notes about me, I'm not your typical generationa Xennial 1977/1983 Unique experience. You have a childhood, youth and adolescence avoided of having to worry about social media posts and mobile phones... We learned to consume media and came of age before there was Facebook and Twitter and Snapchat and all these things where I watch the evening Chanel 7News or read the Boston Globe

I'm on the back 9 of my life 38, you guy(s) are already at the clubhouse getting drunk 🍻 ⛳️

Aggressive? Not especially. Opportunistic and proactive? For sure. Perpetually frustrated? Yeah...guilty.

I wish. I'm stuck in that hell-hole of a sand trap to the left of the green on 13. The more I swear, the deeper it gets.

I hail from a long line of Irish ranters. At the age of 3 or 4, I heard my Grandpa swearing under his breath for what seemed like minutes on end, unaware that I was within earshot. My young ears had never beheld these words I was hearing, since in those days a gentleman never (knowingly, at least) swore around women or kids.

I went and found my Grandma and proudly announced to her that "I heard Grandpa talking Irish!" She was very skeptical and puzzled. "What did it sound like?" she asked. I did my best to do a mumble-mouthed impression of it. She laughed and with a wry smile said "Lad, that wasn't Irish. And I better never hear such things coming out of your young mouth."

Funny, I learned from my father, then loved stand up comedians as a teen. Naturally I did what everyone else on the planet does; I incorporated everything I've witnessed and rolled it all into one massive elaborate personality. At least when I'm upset enough to rant about something, I try to make it as comical & enjoyable for the person that hears it. The way I see it is that if they have to listen to me bitch, they'll at least get a laugh out of it in the process.

I would say I'm "type A." I do everything fast; my exes will all happily confirm that. I'm impatient. I live in Minnesota, which is The Land of the Careful, so I'm a misfit here. And so I spend way too much time feeling frustrated that the entire world is in my way. I feel like I'm always waiting for someone. On the road, that's true around 85% of the time. I'm pretty sure I was a New York City cabbie in a previous life.

I think my ultimate frustrating road behavior is the people who insist on a 3-second nap after the light or the turn arrow turns green. The other day I sat through the whole cycle at a big intersection just up the street from where I live. I was the 4th car in a left turn lane. The turn arrow and the light for the adjoining lanes all turned green, and nobody moved in any of the lanes for at least 4 seconds. When the lead dolt in our turn lane finally awoke from his stupor and oozed through the turn, the next dolt in line took his own 3-second nap. So did Dolt #3, who went through after the arrow had turned solid red. The result of which was that for a turn arrow which lasted probably 12 to 15 seconds, ONLY THREE F*CKING CARS made it through. I wasn't one of them. And nobody honked their horns except me. So I had to sit through the whole 5-minute cycle all over again, thanks to the overly-polite dip-shits I'm forced to share the road with and despite the fact that I pay way more than my share of the cost of building and maintaining those roads.
