Not sure why BMW suddenly has an issue designing rear ends of their vehicles. There's something that just looks off about the rear with all the newer models - X2, X3, 1er, 5er.

Nah, with that ride height it should be classified as a SUV or a CUV 😂

Wedge shape is remenancnt of e36. Wheel hub motors are a terrible design. Adds ton of sprung weight and eats through tires. In fact good luck changing them out

Can see some Volvo polestar vibes with the design. Looks OK IMO.

Grab your MI6 custom plates. Haha

EV with dual exhaust tailpipes. Does it do fake ice vroom vrooms as well? I pulled the checkbook out and then shoved it back into the drawer.

It looks like it will be indistinguishable from a Gen1 Chevy Volt from the back. Great work BMW designers. Where the hell do they find these amateurs?

UH no.

Nobody is asking for an electric 90s concept car that weighs 6000lbs and doesn’t look like a BMW but has BMW badges

My thoughts. 36-year BMW owner... nose breather. Industrial engineering degree...

The front does not look like the "Neue Klasse" design released previously, which we've all been chatting on. There is no open greenhouse that the Neue Klasse cars seem to have. It doesn't seem like the front end would meet EU pedestrian safety regs. And in-wheel motors? Always been a cool EV wet dream, but too impractical to implement. Way too heavy for unsprung weight, way too expensive; why build four motors when one (RWD) or two (AWD) is a much better engeering solution, and exposure to the elements mitigation (winter road treatment). Why take on a nearly impossible engineering problem to solve?

The body lines give the illusion of massive forward rake, which is kind of offputting to the eye, but looking at the ground-to-rocker distance in reality it looks pretty neutral

This is not an illusion. It’s very rake-ish.

In fairness, you own the new M4, which has a snout only a mother could love.

I guess style isn’t your thing.

Great call. Now maybe you can point us to how you discerned this doesn’t look like a BMW with the camo on. Next, you can show us the inside info you have on the tech specs that show the weight.

Just because you aren’t interested doesn’t mean “nobody” is interested. Nice try though.

Exactly.
Why don't they hire world class experts from this board?
Instead, they are using Volt as a prototype. Those amateurs.
