My stock dyno was 265WHP and 287 lb-ft. RTWQ...so approx. 312BHP and 338 lb.-ft TQ; my car increased + 57WHP and + 92 lb.-ft TWRQ.

Procede is about 390 hp. Remember that the 335 is not 300 hp stock. It's about 315-320 hp according to everyone's dynos...of course give or take a few hp, as every dyno and car is slightly different.

HOLY SHIT YOU ARE 10!!! AHAHAHAHAH This thread is hysterical...here we have E90 boy who has a 325i, and ward who has a Z4 3.0, talking shit about 335is and Z4Ms. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Z4M isn't supposed to be a drag car. It's SUPPOSED to be a TRACK STAR. And it is, and if you think otherwise...you're retarded.

This thread is pretty funny..... Back to topic, a buddy of mine has a new M5, although we haven't raced, I did drive his car and I drove it hard. By the way it felt when I nailed it and stayed on it, it didn't feel like it had anything on the 335 until we were upwards of 110- 120. That's where the car continued to pull. So yes I do believe the 335 would've give the M5 the run the OP stated FWIW...

FWIW Edmunds (http://www.edmunds.com) tested a stock M5 at 4.8 0-60 and 12.8 ¼ mile, and a PROcede 335i at 4.6 / 13, which corroborate fully SFlgator’s story.

Goto dragtimes for some realistic M5 times. Then isolate to the same tracks and hopefully similar conditions.

No. Magazines have proper test equipment and drivers. They drive cars well prepared by manufacturers (or tuners in that case) and are usually tested at the same facilities. These numbers, at least for serious magazines, are the closest to real. On the other hand, drag strip numbers depends from so many variables that they are quite meaningless in real life. |

Enjoy your mag racing (they are every bit as variable as any other metric)..... Try to visit some tracks and put some skin in the game.

I did not make it to the track because it started raining in my area, and didn't want to risk driving 100 miles total for nothing.
But that was a modded E39 M5.....we wanted to race a stock E60 M5! We wanted to validate Slfgator's story that the 335 can hang with the E60 M5 up to 100mph. I've beat stock E39 M5s at the track.

Lol this thread is getting crazy. Funny thing is this is the first time I saw it.
Im not going to say whos faster than others but a friend wanted me to post videos of personal experience. Im by all means not the fastest 335i or the best driver. Im guess im just the most filmed... lol So here you go. These videos were taking a while back. The videos of me vs my buddies z4m coupe were taken when I had the following mods : procede, custom exhaust, itg filter. Same old 275 nittos in the rear. (1 passenger) My buddies z4m coupe had supersprint exhaust and grouppe m intake. I forget what speed. Probably like 60-130. Been so long since Ive seen these videos. Sorry for the sound. We were both on blue tooth, you can hear him say "shit... jesus" on the phone tho lol. 40-120/130? Heres a couple vs my friends stock e46 m3. 1 passenger for me. He had 1 or none I cant remember. Mods i had at this time: Procede, custom exhaust, itg filter, 275 nittos. 0-120mph. If i remember I boged this launch. Heres my other friends stock e46 m3.... AKA The infamous youtube videos : I had 1 passenger he had none. Mods I had here were: Procede, custom exhaust, ITG filter, 275 nittos From a 15 mph roll: from a dig : Friends catback and cai ls2 gtohonks came from the gto, we both had 1 passenger) Mods here: procede, itg filter, custom exhaust, 275 nittos 60 mph to 140 60-140/150 i forget. My friends 390 rwhp e39 m5, yes hes modded...Hes the strongest e39 m5 Ive run. Well at least around here. We have a few friends with modded / stock e39 m5's and hes the quickest. My mods here : Custom exhaust, custom FMIC, custom ducts, custom gutted cats pipes. (basicly custom DP), procede. stock filter. all to governed speeds... well for me I have tons more videos but I kinda got sick of trying to find them all. All the races were from sea level. These are just my personal experiences. Hope this help anyone wanting to know whats what. My car is back in the shop getting more crap done. All in all I guess its like a progression of my car in these videos. But I still need a tune. Hopefully I will get it within 2 weeks. I just have to make an appointment.
