I do a lot of my bulk shopping in VT - many of my fav's are $5-10 less, sometimes more especially with a sale (and an excuse for another trip thru the ADK). If you email or call, they can often get things that are not on the list. They say that, for distributors, selling in the USA is really like 50 different countries, and it shows with pricing - some cheaper here in NYS, some cheaper there.

Here's tonight's dram, first experience of mine with Auchentoshan...
Not bad, but I get a wired pine and oak hit that's lingering which isn't my favorite |

Bought a few things today based on recommendations. Will get others later. Also waiting on Japanese Hibiki to be available. Going to a whiskey tasting event in a few hours to check out some other ones.

Well I can vouch for the Monkey Shoulder. Very nice. I think I also had some Redbreast once and liked it but I drink to forget and sometimes it works.

Single Grain
Picked up a bottle of Teeling Single Grain, having a pour or three.

As to the pour, it just kept coming out. Hah This is my first bottle of Teeling SG, I must say, I’m very impressed. I’d put it up with Yellow Spot...and I love love love Yellow Spot. I may have several more pours today and this week. Wow

I would say that I've tried many Scotches... from Speyside, to Highland to Islay...
My favorites- Mac 12 / 18 Sherry / 15 Triple Cask Balvenie 12 Doublewood Aberlour Abundah - varies by cask If you like slighly peaty- Highland Park 18... if you like extremely peaty; then Lagavulin 16 Abolutely cannot stand JW black or Glen 12... but Glenfiddich 12 is a great option for the price point. |

GlenGrant 10 Years
If you can find it, I recommend the GlenGrant 10 Years. I don’t think you can find it in the US, but for those in Europe, this is a great bottle.
Cheers! V |
