Thanks Mark! He certainly gave me a nice pose! I'm going to miss the NWRs here in California, but apparently there are osprey and eagles a plenty in my (hopefully) new neighborhood. I retire in April and have made an offer on a place in Maine.

Wow, that'll be different. I'm a native New Englander myself. Don't know if I could move back there, though. Certainly not to MA. Way too crowded. Maine is far easier going, though. What part of Maine are you moving to?

And coincidentally, I'm retiring at the end of April as well. Can't wait. I really need to get back into my photography.

April 30 is my last day of work

If the deal goes through I will be living near Wiscasset, in the central coast region (less than 35K total population in the entire county), not too far from Portland. I am actually running from the heat, not racing toward it. I miss real winter.

Nice area. You'll still have a coastline and mountains nearby.

My last day is also April 30. Looking forward to a summer off. Haven't had one since junior high.
