Nice place to relax and spend a few hours. Which we did.

Another nice place to relax. Although if you misjudge the tides, you may end up spending more than a few hours here.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Clermont-Ferrand. Clermont-Ferrand is one of the oldest towns in France, situated in the volcanic south-central region, the structure is built from the locally-cut volcanic "Pierre de Volvic" (of the Trachyandesite type) that gives the building its dark color and whose strength allows the construction of highly delicate pillars.

Looks like Red Rocks to me. I was there last summer but just walking around - not to a concert.

I don't know about this piece of art in this photo, but the Great Exhibition of Works of Industry of all Nations 1851 was held in Hyde Park in London.

I would love to have a time machine and go back and be a visitor at that exhibition. What a show it must have been. Little did they know then how much the works of industry would change over the next 173 years. It's remarkable and a bit scary the pace of change.
