What are you guys thoughts on Chipotle? I've been craving it for awhile now, but the closest location to me is over an hour and a half away in Knoxville. :| Thankfully, I'm going up there this Saturday. I could also go for some Moe's or Lime, now that I think about it. *drools* But nothing compares to that Chipotle quesarito. *double drool*

I don't think it's bad at all. My wife doesn't like the rice there, so I only go when I'm on business and I need to eat a quick lunch.

it's freaking amazing, pretty much...

all kinds of good shit to choose from - the burrito itself will be thick and hard to eat because of it, but you'll be full, that's for damn sure....

Why doesn't she just opt out of getting rice on it? :| I usually make up an excuse to go there like once a month, lol. Worth the hour and a half drive, haha.

I didn't even know it existed until my freshman year of college, when I moved from Cleveland, TN, all the way down to Miami, FL, for the next four years. One of the best parts of Miami was Chipotle and Lime (similar to Chipotle). I miss it so much. Hence why I make every excuse to head up to Knoxville for some, lol.

Ha! She likes rice, just hates cilantro. If the rice didn't have cilantro, I'd be there on the reg. There is another place here called Freebirds. Same as Chipotle, just with "better rice" (according to my wife).

Ah, I gotcha. Do you guys have Moe's or Lime in your area? I thought about franchising a Lime in my city with my father.

There are a few Moe's in Texas, but that's more airport Tex Mex. I looked at Lime's and we don't have any of those here, it seems they are located on the East Coast and are targeting people who really are newbies when it comes to Tex Mex...

We had a Baja Fresh but it went out of business.

Can you not franchise a Chipotle?

Moe's is REALLY good. It's better than Chipotle in some ways, but Chipotle is also better than Moe's in some ways. So I consider them about even in my book. We have more of them around here than Chipotle. Regarding Lime, I REALLY like it because of the simplicity. Plus, free chips. I think of it as sort of a watered-down Chipotle, lol. Still tastes AMAZING and made with organic and pasture-raised foods. They had one on my college campus, which is why I sort of fell in love, haha.

Have you ever heard of Qdoba or Salsarita's? I've never been to either, but I've heard they're very similar.

There is a Qdoba on campus, but that was built after I had already graduated... So never been. Never heard of Salsarita's though.

Chipotle is awesome.
If you go with your friends they serve beer so an impromptu happy hour can make it fun. They won't expect it either.

Not sure if I should be proud of this, but in college I finished a Super Monster Chicken once. Not certain if I could still do it.

I'm a non-contrarian to a fault. I just stomached it under the realization that germs are ubiquitous, but in hindsight I think I regret that decision.

I'm a pontchartrain fan for life. Had my usual today (well, the pontchartrain filet is my "new" usual), but I have to say there's one thing that trulucks sometimes misses the boat on - they don't always properly de-shell their shrimp for their filet toppings. I've had shells in both of my previous meals (including today's meal).

One of the main reasons that bob's steak and chop house piqued my interest is because there's a 458 italia valet'd up front half the time I walk by, but I've come to realize that rich people don't always have the best taste in food so I try not to judge restaurants by the number of exotic cars up front anymore.

Don't do it! Just remember all the tools in Austin that lease these things... Unless you have a gift card or you're taking a customer there, I would not eat there on my own dime.

Haha I was actually thinking of your (anti)-recommendation when I made that post. I'm definitely not going to waste my money at Bob's. I didn't like how the food looked anyway.
