Yeah, yiu definitely need to account for your driveway, sidewalks, hardscapes, landscaping, etc... when figuring out your lawn size. Otherwise, you may grossly over-purchase product (eg fert).

I picked up a 'cheap' measuring wheel off Amazon to measure my yard and other ground spots that couldn't be easily measured w/ just a tape measure. I've used it more than I thought since we have a blank slate w/ our yard.

And for my next project... 😊
Unfortunately, my Miracle Roses caught this horrible disease that is plaguing Southern Roses. So I had to dig it out. 😢 But I replaced it with my absolute favorite flowers. And this is my first time planting them! Any keen eyes want to guess what I've planted...

Help a non-gardener out brothas/sistas/transitioners/others.

I need a tree or plant or hedge that will grow up to about six feet or so, won't be too thick, and will provide a nicer green/softness against a wall. Recommendations? Right now i'm thinking like some kind of podocarpus (spel) but want some other options. I don't have a ton of room but it's basically a planter on the floor. I think it's about 3 feet deep and about 1.5 wide basically along the bottom of the wall.

My vegetable boxes are exploding.

All the lettuce has been harvested along with the radishes. The carrots, cucumbers and zucchinis are about ready. It looks like I'll be getting a million cherry tomatoes. I've plucked some yellow beans this morning. Green onions go on for ever; I replant the bulbs in the house over the winter.
