Just picked up one of my favorites from High West. Waiting for Midwinter Night's Dram to come in stock. That's another really good one.

B&B is made with the last remaining bourbon produced at Stitzel-Weller.
It’s a great bottle, I always have at least 2 on the shelf.

Let us know how it is. I’m hitting, bottle shots, on some Jameson Stout Edition when I pass my bar.
I do enjoy the Irish whiskeys.

It was surprisingly good. I'm a scotch man myself, but it was certainly a nice change.

Worth a try for how ridiculously cheap it was.

I just picked up a bottle of Penelope Barrel Strength Toasted Series...delicious. I was looking for Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel but this might just be a step above. Very enjoyable.

Any British whiskey fans who want a discount on Laphroaig?

I ended up with a bunch of discount coupons for Laphroaig, and turns out they expire at end of year. Anybody over in England (or perhaps anyplace in the EU) want to try cashing these in for something? I'll work on good faith - if you are game to use them for an order, I'll send you the codes, and split the savings with you. I have 8 of the 20euro, one 5euro, and one 10euro. I think you need to use them for an online order, but if you are on Islay you could probably visit their store. One voucher per order, and the 20's require an 80 euro purchase (20/40euro purchase for the 5/10 coupons). Love the Scotch, but really HATE their new take on promotionals (yeah, they won't ship to the US, but they give me coupons); it was either cash in for these, or a bunch of stupid pens, lanyards, and t-shirts that would have cost me >30euros for shipping.

PM me if you are interested, hate to see these go to waste. Bonus prize if you can guess how many bottles of Laph it takes to earn 175 euros of coupon

Here is a link to their order page, but this link may be specific to USA https://www.laphroaig.com/en/shop-global

BIL sent me a bottle of Aberlour 12. Very enjoyable at 80, just not the killer bite of the A'Bundgah that I'm used to

Will drink again!

There is a place up here in Santa Rosa called Bottle Barn. THey do ship or if you are in the mood for a drive head on up! It was $125 bucks which is pretty reasonable. They may still have a couple left so I'd call em and have them hold em aside if I were you. Good luck

That is one of my favorites too. Hard to find around here.

If you like that - have you tried the Dalmore 12? Very similar.

You like it? I've enjoyed the A'Bundgah enormously. Is the regular 12yr worth the price?

I prefer the Dalmore 12, but its priced stupid around here, so I drink the Three Wood. Don't get me wrong, I like the Three Wood, and I think it may very well be the best bang for the buck right now up here. Out of the ones I've tried anyways.

I really like the Lagavulin Offerman edition, but it's a classic Lag so you have to like that before the Offerman will grow on you. I have maybe a half bottle left, but I've squirelled away a full bottle as well for later consumption.

Very nice. Yeah, I just can't do the Lag's.

Dalmore runs about $75 USD here. Ach 3-Wood is about $55.

Yeah, see the Dalmore here is running at $106 vs the Three Wood at $85. But the Three Wood USED to be at $65...last time I picked it up maybe 2-3 months ago. I'm shocked actually that it is up to $85. I've got maybe 4 oz left, going to be annoying paying $85 next time.

So dramatic price increase on the Three Wood, but Dalmore has been consistently slightly above the $100 mark for the last year or two. Value proposition is diminishing on the Three Wood.
