It's too early for this ish! This is from a few weeks ago.....lots more now and with friends. I'll be going scorched earth w/ my sprayer this weekend. My prodiamine finally came in, too. Too late to put down?

Irrigation gets turned on next week. I'll do a spring fert application afterwards.

If you are applying it to an irrigated area than you can still put it down. Pre emergent has to be watered in by rain or irrigation to be effective. Keep in mind pre emergent has no post control. You will have to spray anying that has already germinated with a selective herbicide like speedzone.

Yeah throw down that prodiamine. Has your grass still not waking up?

The poor bees are hungry as those just pop up. Less herbicide, more fingers.

*Update

Here is my Avocado plants (plural From one seed!) after 4 weeks.
It's about 8in tall. Very impressive. If you look just 2 pages back it was just a seedling. I'm stoked!

I hear ya, Wede. I am bee friendly and have a bunch of alliums and serviceberry in the front for them. I manually weed around those. At about 32k sq ft of yard, I prefer to walk and spray if enough crap has popped up in the grass. Tank sprayer on the LT if it's really bad.

Most haven't flowered yet either....yet. Need to get'em while they're young. Oxalis is my bane right now and will be my biggest battle this year if last was any indication.

Had various pop-up heads put in throughout my property last fall. Soooo much easier since I've got 32k sq ft of yard! System gets turned back on this coming Tuesday.

I just wasn't sure if I missed the spring timing for getting it down. Not a big deal if so. I didn't get it down last year and managed. I'll get it down.

I like to use T-Zone for most things and Q4+ when needed. Tenacity is fun for when I want to add some temporary color to the lawn. . I was already planning to spray this weekend. I have an on-goung border battle w/ the empty, unkept lot next to mine that needs some scorched earth tactics right now.

all my parts came in for the drip irrigation. was able to run 700' of drip tubing all throughout the flower beds!

here's the two timers running both zones. besides the timer i did have to get the backflow preventer, 25psi pressure regulator and the adaptor from 3/4" to 1/2" to connect the 1/2" drip tubbing

also had a neighbor give me 10 bags of burlap yesterday which came at a perfect time since were suppose to get 3-5" of snow tonight so i used them to cover my Nikko Blue Hydrangeas that only bloom on old wood so this cold snap would kill the buds and thus no blooms for this year. but i got them all wrapped up!

also extended my flower bed out 1' since my Limelight Hydrangeas are starting to get huge and are extending out into the yard. put down some weed barrier and reinstalled the the brick pavers. just need to pick up some compost and some mulch.

also did the first mow of the season. the grass is coming in nicely

Nice! You'll like it. Looks like the same drip line I put in. Did you use staples to hold it down?

Just got my irrigation system turned back on this morning. Stoked!!! (I'm officially old now...)

also the Annabelle's were looking a little rough after the cold snap too but after a few days with some sun they look to be bouncing back!

also lawn stripes are coming in nice except that spot in front of the Porsche. that's where my VRSF catless dp on the BMW burnt that spot lol! what we do for the picture shots right lol!

My lawncare contractor did the aeration yesterday and now my yard looks like a million geese used it as a toilet. The plugs will all be gone shortly.

My 40V. Black & Decker mower died after two years. Thankfully I can use the [ expensive] batteries in my other B&D tools.

Received my new 80V mower yesterday as well. Apparently it's as powerful as a 160cc gas model.

Attachment 2597500

My perennial gardens are starting to come alive and I picked-up some annuals for my pots. This is just the first batch as our little garden center just opened for the season.

Just redid the front bed. I don't have a before pic but it was all overgrown and a miss match of a bunch of stuff. Took me a few days but I ripped it all out and graded the soil.

I'm having to redo my entire landscaping because the last company sucked. Just got the pavers in. Now have to do the lighting and then greenery. I'm not doing it because i don't know a damn thing about it. I'll post pics of the before and after.
