Best Total Solar Eclipse I’ve seen. I was already hooked, but now I’m take up eclipse chasing as a hobby.
From the Emerald Princess off the coast of Mazatlan this morning. |

I was right under the center of the path of totality in Mansonville, QC
Pics are only from an iPhone.

Having now seen it in person I will say none of the pics I've ever seen really capture what it looks like in real life.

I thought you were kidding here. But it's a real thing. *Huge* spike in Google searches for those exact terms. But why is Georgia at the top? They were nowhere near the path.

Amazed that us older folks can still see.... Didn't have social media and 24x7 news channels constantly reminding us not to look at the sun during the eclipse...as occured leading up to Mondays eclipse, as when I was a youngster.
Last eclipse, when i was young. Good Ole mom said .. you look at the sun you'll go blind, not like blind when you look at your father's girlie magazines.. I mean it, you'll go bling... no social media, just mom..

I can't believe the traffic folks are willing to sit through sometimes. There had to be less popular places to go see the eclipse. We found a small town with just a handful of people watching the eclipse. This is eclipse traffic in Vermont.

We got to the park early at 9am thinking there would be a line. Nothing. I do think the park limits capacity since you have to pre purchase a day pass, but we left maybe an hour or so after totality and no traffic leaving either. Guess everyone went to Vermont. |
