Might as well add to this.
Not sure if anyone else has added these, but I've been using my old Converse chucks for a couple years. I find them to be fantastic driving shoes as they have a fairly thin sole and it gives you good feel of the pedals. Cheap as hell too!! Thought about buying new puma shoes but decided my chucks will be just as good. |

Oh, if you are getting driving shoes, don't forget your driving gloves with mesh backs and some Ray-Ban Avaitors....
I wear whatever I have on. On the race track, my Bell race shoes have served me well, but they are paper thin Nomex/Leather and would last about 3 minutes if you try and walk around in them. |

I prefer buck naked, so that I can use my butt mussels to hold on to the seat while cornering. Hey, I paid for all this fancy leather, why not enjoy it up close and personal!??! Go 'flops. Go 'nekkid. Go FASTER! a

I've owned a bunch, piloti's, puma, sparco etc. In the last 5-6 years I've mostly been wearing Onitsuka shoes, mexico 66 and 81's. They're comfy, lightweight and work great as driving shoes.

I find that driving feel changes hugely with the shoes I wear, so was just shooting the breeze to hear other opinions. I think the flippers wins, although being able to pick up stuff with your bare feet gives a huge advantage to the modern day motorist. PB
