I'm pretty sure that shirt was from when IBM gave up on their proprietary AIX Unix and the RS/6000 line, and switched to Linux. The penguin (Tux) is Linux's mascot.

These days, Linux is even available on IBM's mainframes.....

You are correct, sir. I forgot about the Linux connection being why IBM liked Penguins!
Shirts are from the '90s.
Ogilvy gave up Microsoft (conflict) to get IBM.
