I may be in the minority, but I like it. I probably would never buy one but we can always dream.

I love it but you can tell Porsche is going higher end luxury GT and the Cayman/Boxster is more for the purists, not just for the person who can only afford the cheaper Porsche.

I also love the 991, there's one I want but would have to trade my Corvette for it since I can't afford to add to the stable.

I posted this in one of the other, other, other 992 threads but I think the platform will be rock solid once they figure a few things out:
1// Improving the aesthetics of the rear for the non-base models, which I have faith they'll pull off for the GTS, Turbo, GT3 etc. (the Turbo image below gives me hope) 2// Correct some of the tackiness of the interior, which won't happen until the 992.2 3// Unveil the hybrid powertrain (I'm hoping it's an option, not a forced choice). I'd take NA+Hybrid over Turbo for most of the higher end models and I'm hoping the performance numbers are as bonkers as I'd imagine. So far the 992 is receiving overwhelming positive reviews, so if the aesthetics can catch up to the performance then I think it'll be a very promising generation. As always, I think the MKIIs are the ones to get with P-Cars as they usually perfect the platform...so I'm more curious to see how those are looking in 3-ish years.

Actually, the 996 was the first significant growth, we did have 30 years of little dimensional change, but the last 20 have seen a ton. |

The Turbo S version of the 992 looks significantly better because the rear diffuser area reduces the visual height of the rear bumper which I still think is a big problem aesthetically for the 992

991 starts from 1380kg.. 992 starts from 1500ish kg.. its not that weird cause.. new regulations, hybrid ready stronger chassis, 8 speed PDK, motorized handles, motorized steering wheel adjustment etc added some fat to the car.. |

I don't like the lines on the roof at all, how the white isn't a continuous line, where it reaches out towards the black portion, that just looks bad IMO. Also that spoiler, I don't know what's going on with it, there's a spoiler...and a wing. Any time you need multiple aerodynamics there it looks tacky. IDK, it just looks like they tried to tweak a bunch of stuff, but with no real direction.
