It was more to point out that there's always this weird "here's the current cool kid list" thing that pops up every once in awhile. I just like to point it out when it does and I'm a good self appointed target.

I always thought of it as an interesting human behavior not just limited to forums.

I think what some of the people are trying to say is, it's not so much a cool kids list but more so here are the regs that they talk to pretty much 365/24/7... Half those people won't even participate just out of privacy or maybe they sound like they sucked on a can of helium, I dunno... But it's not exclusive to who they feel is cool... I mean, shit man, have you seen some of the people on that list?! Nobody has thought jtodd is cool except maybe his wife when she wants to buy something... Or have you seen mike's sneakers?! Even verbiage wouldn't rock that bright color, he's too Caucasian for that...

Don't take it personal and don't get butthurt... Could just be because you don't post enough... Or maybe they just don't want to get to know you better, who knows... But if you need validation from a bunch of strangers on the interwebs, that could be somewhat telling...

Besides, you getting butthurt, commenting about it and now if they add you to the list it would almost be out of pity and it will probably effect your interview session and it'd just be a disaster anyways... Can't force it, it's like anal sex, just need to let it happen gradually...
