If you haven't opened the Youtube Link I posted, you should. Chris Rock is a funny comedian, but the material he uses in his stand up has a lot of truth behind it.

In the excerpt I posted, the line that is very memorable is saying how good it is to be white. "Ain't none of you white people in this room would change places with me....and I'm rich."

I don't think I quite understand what you're trying to tell me. As MalibuBimmer said, my point is that avoidance is the best policy. If Lups' friend took a minute to inch up, his bumper would probably not have been hit. Maybe the friend didn't want to be told what to do by some rude jerk, but the incident would have been done and over with, as opposed to having to deal with this drama now.

Did you not ask the squeegee guy to wipe your windshield, is that why you didn't pay him? Even $1 woulda saved you from that scratch.

I've done it, and so has my (pale) 28yo son back in his school days. Lots of Spanglish dissing, and then I/he answer back, in (not so perfect) Spanish. The shock and awe in their eyes is priceless!!!

Some of the most pronounced, perfect formal Spanish I have heard seems to come de los chinos!

Guilty... My vocabulary and grammar is far from perfect, but my accent and pronunciation is fairly accurate, starting from joining in chanting/singing "culero" over and over in the gym locker rooms in middle school for fun, to insulting and being insulted ("como estás, cabrón?" "nada, pinche chinito"), then taking a couple years of español in high school (I have memories of me laughing at someone pronouncing everything with an American accent, like "oh-joes" for "ojos" and the subsequent principal's office visit thereafter, or out of boredom when creating a sentence involving multiple conjugations, "Yo tengo un labrador negro llamado Spot, porque me accidentalmente cayó cloro en él cuando es un perrito" (I have a black Labrador named Spot, because I accidentally spilled bleach on him as a puppy ) college (and I still memorized the alt-codes for accent marks when I typed reports to this day), all the way to honing it when I moved next to a neighbor that would invite me over for beer or to watch fútbol all the time. Oh, and I rarely use slang/Spanglish unless I truly don't know the word (yes, I use camioneta instead of "troca").

Read your story Lups, and didn't see *any* trace of racism here. The guy in the old car was acting silly. I mentioned in another thread people need to start having some thicker skin if they will want to survive in this world. That goes for everyone. Every single time an incident happens where someone from another race other than your own happens, everyone loves to shout "racism" these days. It's become trendy almost.

Remember, I'm a foreigner here too just like you are. I was visiting a friend of mine years ago in a small town in Texas. We went over to her grandma's house for an ice tea. You know, that's just what you do in Texas. Grandma starts asking me all kinds of questions of "where I'm from". That's just friendly. But then she asks what I'm doing here, and why I'm going to University in the USA. "Don't they have Universities in Belgium"?

I still laugh about it to this day. This woman was white, so was I. But she wasn't exactly thrilled that I had moved here and am now attending one of "her" Universities. Did I whine about it? Naah. It was actually a clean troll on the old woman. Like I said, gotta have thicker skin than that.

I just don't get it. A guy hits an others car, walks away after insults,cops get him to come back and he keeps on insulting the innocent party and manages to walk away free. Since I've been told numerous times here (by a cop too) to watch out for the Asians, they suck at driving and since I can't find an other explanation, this is the assumption I made.


If anything good came out of this, its that I've slowed down. I'm too afraid of blowing up if I get out of a ticket again.

The statement that Asians can't drive isn't racist, I agree. It's utterly ignorant and borderline moronic.
It would be tantamount to me saying cops have told me watch out for women, they can't drive fer shitz and should stay home resting children and making samwhiches.

Lol, welcome to Seattle everyone! You get out of trouble by presenting a Finnish license (which is ridiculous, since my mother is the worst driver I've ever seen) and where it's completely acceptable to leave a scene of an "accident" if the other guy isn't a part of the right ethnicity.

I do however think women can't drive. Removing mirrors from inside of a car would help with this more than sexchange operations (school run morning, I can't believe how much multitasking I saw again.)

Exactly, he was in a high traffic area at the Holland Tunnel outbound, and for whatever reason, chose my windshield to spread his aids infested dirty water on. I didn't feel like giving him money for making my windshield dirty.

But my wife was being practical, cave in to intimidation, and hand him $3, and if that weren't satisfactory, $20, to avoid a scratch on my beautiful car.

(True story, at Laclede's Landing in St. Louis, I hand a panhandler my singles, which was 3, and he replied, "What the F*** am I supposed to do with this?" And my coworker gives him a $20. Intimidation works)

Yeah, a birth defect, apparently I had a flu at the wrong time while expecting him.

I feel sorry for that bully. If a missing ear is a big enough thing to catch his attention, his life will suck. We've never hid his ear, nor have we lied to anyone who's asked, and and I've always encouraged others to ask instead of lurking around it. To us it's just something that adds to him, not a reason to lemon him.

My kid doesn't get made fun of, but schoolmates kinda laugh at her, because she still talks like a little baby due to her tongue not fully developed from being extremely underweight.

This is very reason I picked her up with E93 M3 with top down again today.
I hope the cool car will catalyze the other kids to be little easier on her. LOL

That's also why mama lups was talking about racism when she described her friend as Asian. Everybody got it but you if you were thinking her friend could be White from E. Russia or Kazakhstan.
