Because neither me or my business partner got killed when some lady smashed into his open car door going 40 mph down a Brooklyn street tonight.

We were both standing there maybe a minute before it happened. He jumped into the bed of his truck and i went to the sidewalk side to load some other stuff and this lady literally smashed his open door without hitting the brakes. The door was completely bent back the other way. Lets say the door open all the way is like a 90 degree angle, the door was at 115.

She might not have seen it, but she should have! And if she couldn't see where she was going, she should have stopped driving. "I didn't see it" is not a valid reason in driving. Similar to crashing into the back of someone; it's always your fault (99.9%)

Glad you were okay. That could've been a bad situation had you been in the wrong place at the right time.
