BBQ Guru Temperature Control Kits for Kamado Joe Classic II

I have done many a brisket, boston butt, roast, etc., with these and you literally set-it and forget-it, at least until the alarm goes off. Currently have the UltraQ. Highly recommend.

Dryer vent bucket. Our current dryer vent is waaaay too long and keeps getting jammed with lint. It runs through the crawlspace which I'm getting too old to be climbing through. So I'm going to shorten the hose run and attach this so it's right there at the crawlspace door where I can check on it every so often.

I've had mine for a decade now and I love the hell out of it. Honestly the thing I cook on it most are pizzas, does amazingly well with high heat.

They're not really that bad but if you wanted something in the mid range Laura Davidson furniture has a premium line you can get a link to from there chat form. I think it's about $700 for an Italian leather eames replica

Just looked and even cheaper. https://www.lauradavidsondirect.com/...talian-leather

I've had this for years.

So it does not vent outside the house?

Correct. These boxes are made for inside venting. My dryer is less than two feet from the garage, so when my brother comes out in the spring to redo the bathrooms, he's going to run a new vent into the garage with this box on the end. It'll pump a little heat onto the garage, but that won't be a bad thing for most of the year and it really won't matter in the summer when the garage is oven hot anyway. In the meantime, it'll just vent into the crawl space between the house foundation and the garage foundation. Otherwise it's a 35ft run to the outside wall. That's too far to vent a dryer.

Many years ago, my grandparents' dryer used to vent into a 3-seasons room to use the waste heat. Believe it or not, they just put a cut-off panty hose leg over the vent hose end, and changed it out every once in a while as lint built up.....

I saw a DIY bucket that was literally a 5-gallon bucket of water with an adapter for the dryer hose and another to vent the air out. The lint collects on the water surface and eventually sinks. You just have to change the water every other month or so.

I bought a nice dryer vent cleaning kit with one of those drill adapter cleaner things only to find out my dryer vent went right from the side of the laundryroom to the outside and is all of 6 inches long! fail

My dryer is on an outside wall, so I could run a really short vent to the outside. But that would put it on my front porch within a couple of feet of my front door. Who wants a dryer venting there?
