Pats, where in MD are you? It wasn't suppose to rain until later today. :/
I'm kind of jealous of your work location. |

Did you forget I own 2 horses? I can lift TWO 50 lb feed bags my shoulders AT THE SAME TIME. Mucking stalls, ground work, grooming, not to mention riding, is a FULL body work out. How many of you can control 1200 lbs between your legs? Probably none of you. |

So I have no distaste for the Cowboys. Think v highly of their scouting department's use of analytics, actually. Yea it's a cool job and i'm fortunate to have the opportunity. But it's not glamorous at all....A lot of trips to some pretty random ass parts of the country. Potomac is a nice neck of the woods was it raining this AM? Overcast in VA but nothing is coming down right now.

I ride mainly "Western Pleasure" and "Showmanship" I've done a couple Hunter/Jumper classes. My black mare fractured her hock and she's not able to stress her hind legs much because of that injury. So jumping for her is out of the question. Thats why we do Western Pleasure with her. When I do jump, I use either a friends horse or a lesson horse. Last edited by Sara; 07-02-2015 at 10:26 AM.. |

It's all about the bond you have with your horse. Horses have temperaments worse than toddlers at times. They have their good days and their very bad days. ESPECIALLY female horses. (Which both mine are mares ((females)) It's all about respect, trust, and guidance. Accidents do happen. It's a HELL of a LOT worse when a 1,200 animal falls on top of you full force than a 250 lbs line backer in football. I've fractured all the way from C-2 to T-5 in my spine. Broke my hand, 3 of my toes when Jacqueline stepped on me while I was in flip flops |
