A nice conclusion from a SoCal Saturday...

Dinner dish...
Homemade fusion/seasonings, along with my concoctions

> Fresh Atlantic salmon - Tuscan herb style
> Roasted broccolini
> Red beans & rice dish
> Compliments - H2O w/gas; a splash of Fernet-Branca for digestion

Soupe aux poireaux et oignons gratinée.

1. Getting all ingredients ready.
2. Tenderizing the leeks and onions in lots of butter.
3. Adding the broth, wine and seasonings. Simmering for 30 minutes.
4. Emmenthal and OKA cheese with seasoned croutons. Then under the
broiler for 2 minutes.
5. Tada...!

Haven’t posted in here for a while but thought Lady Jane would enjoy.

Went to Maydan in DC this weekend. Absolutely delicious food, we did the “Tawle Menu” as that provided numerous courses of food.

First was a fried cheese dish with pita bread and vegetables with different spreads. Next was a couscous bowl, salad, as well as chicken shish taouk and harissa grilled carrots. Then the main plate was a fantastic ribeye, and last was a strawberry pavlova dessert.

Probably my favorite. Grocery stores usually have, good flavor, plenty of heat w/o being too hot...

Reading the article, I guess I've been making Cottage Pie since I always used beef and not lamb. And I only use corn.
