Yeah, this is one of the few cars where I think the convertible might actually look better than the coupe/targa.

I honestly hate that design. The way the door looks like it's for a much smaller car and then they tacked on the rest above it. The busy swoop lines around the intake that just sort of wander onto the rear fender. There are a few areas I really like, but as a whole, it's not good.

Is the C8 better? No, but it's also not 4x worse.

I just would prefer to buy a coupe that's a coupe. If I'd wanted a convertible I'd have bought one. Maybe it's growing up in the 80's, but targa roofs are forever tacky. Mustache. Coors Light and half unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt tacky.

Maybe they should hire you as styling specialist.

Just keep the roof on and you have a coupe. Or buy a Tributo.

Meh, I stopped paying attention the second they forgot putting a third pedal in their cars. Same reason I really don't have any interest in the C8. But I still have opinions about how they look. And at least one shop can turn most Fezzas into manuals.

Must say I'm in agreement here, but the real standout styling mistake for me is the windscreen. It isn't integrated very well to the body and seems way too large.

That would be true for most if not all convertibles especially with some given camera angles.

OK fair enough. I can pretty much pick apart any car I see.

The noise from that vid does sound more like a truck than a sport car. Time for a flat plane crank V8 GM :-). Even Mustangs have flat plane DOHC V8. There is no excuse. Maybe GM too lazy to make one.

Something like dis :-)

Clearly you’ve never been in a Corvette. It has its own distinct aroma and supposedly the C8 will smell similarly.

And as much as I love my two Porsches, I would say the Corvette C7 fit and finish is very close, like 95% but benchmarks at least as well as a Carrera S that costs twice as much.

The interior has gotten so much better that anyone is complaining is probably having too much free time. It's the little things in term of driving that may potentially irritate me. For example, the Farrah's vid shows the exhaust is little bit low rent. I mean you're driving a cool looking $75K mid engine sport car and it sounds no better than a Toyota pickup truck. And of course there are other things that you don't know until having driven the car. Those who put down order money today thinking it will drive like a 911 or R8 or Ferrari will be very disappointed. It will still be a Corvette. Fast, cheap, though not as out of control this time :-)

sounds better than turbocharged 911’s or other sports cars like an m4, amg gtr so im not sure what the big problem is.

I won't try to argue about something that is characterized as "subjective preference". It's hard to imagine the sound in the Farrah's vid is better than this but I am not going to argue about what one think is better or not.

Again, another person who hasn’t driven or possibly even heard a Corvette before. They sound pretty darn good at idle, when revving it up, driving in low or high rpm, on the downshift. It’s probably one of the better sounding engines out there. Now I will say it doesn’t sound as sexy as a GT350 but the GT350 is a Mustang.

Fair enough. If you think it's better, so be it. It's all in your head anyway.

I don’t think the c8 sounds amazing, but it certainly sounds better than any modern turbo engines I’ve heard... which is most cars, these days.

The four pipes exiting from the diffuser area on the last model look much better and the heavily sculpted sides will be a problem in built up areas.
