Salad and cheese, like most nights.
Finishing up some mozzarella and will open some chevre. Homemade mayonnaise-based dressing. A few sliced pepperoncini. |

Not for tonight, but last night was Chicken Tagine. I tried one of the Tasty recipes and it was quite good, nice mix of flavors and pretty easy to make, and can easily make more for leftovers.

Smoked a midnight brisket for dinner. Started at midnight last night and just pulled it off. About 18 hour cook time.
Waiting for it to rest, which is killing me at the moment. |

Wife started some chicken in the crock pot last night. Not sure when she added the rice, but I couldn't actually find any
While it tasted divine, it looked and felt like chicken gruel. When the girlfriend-in-law came home she asked "Chicken pot pie?" Would eat again, but not sure any will make it to Friday

I asked my wife if she could make Italian steak tip subs?!? Not risking going to the bakery just for sub rolls, she said we're getting fat anyway so is pita bread ok? yes mam!
She also made a copy of chicken parm sandwiches for the little gremlins (kids) we have Note: my wife is a great cook but we miss Boston street foods, staying in lines for pickup or ordering takeout isn't what I want to do now. clean stress free food with a similar taste works for us. Edit: when this is all calm again we will eat out every meal, I'll drive 100 miles for that hamburger place in New haven, 1 hour for that lobster roll and fu*k it 3 hours for a Katz pastrami on rye |
