no. AAPL never traded for $1 a share. Nor was it $2.5 in 1986

Who/why are you trying to impress?

AAPL had an IPO for $3.83 in Jan '84

It dipped to $1.81 after a 50% decline that same year

In 1986 it was at its lowest point at $2.80 at the beginning of Q1 that year, where it started getting traction and going up over time

I would post the charts, but I'm not on my computer that has my trading software so this guy does a pretty good job of charting and explaining it

http://stockchartist.blogspot.com/20...ting-aapl.html

Either way, if your friend bought the stock at that time, and kept if for 10-15 years before selling, he is not poor. AAPL is a great stock to make money off of if your timing is right. I played it starting at $50 all the way up to $200 then on the way down when they had their correction that took them back to the mid hundreds and then back up. A lot of money to be made off the directions the stock goes both ways.

Nice, huh?? If we clear $50 and head to $60 then $80 should be next followed by $100. From the tone of Bernanke's speech yesterday he seemed to accept or like Silver and Gold prices where they were today. USD is getting weaker as the US prints money and the dollar goes down the toilet. I'm looking at seeing Gold pass $1600 and then head to $2000 after.

$300 Silver may become reality one day. After $50 the increases start to come alive much quicker.

NVDA making a run since yesterday. I sold it last week, probably a bit early. But it's OK, I put it into SLV instead.

damn damn damn damn. I just bought calls instead of puts right before this pullback right now, and I meant to buy puts. Whatever, I'll still make money on the rebound.

NVDA was good to buy when I said it was. NVDA is also a good one to buy on the big dips.

Strippers at strip club and prostitutes most likely like this song when working.

When I want to buy and make some money I like this one.

When my stocks are up and I want to take my winnings away I'm listening to this one.

Nooooooooooo!!!! Well I'm still ahead. The thing is, I actually don't know when is the best time to sell as it's hard to put a real target price on SLV. I was thinking sell at $49 as there may be resistance to get to 50. But if it crosses $50, then it might take off again. What to do... what to do...

Always good to book profits and buy after big losses unless you bought in early at a low price so you can just go long and ride this one out. If you just got in you want to keep a tight stop loss in place.
