90 minutes of yard work and my hands started shaking. Got that crappy feeling I get when I need something to eat. So break time. Sort of surprised I made it more than an hour. Maybe the workouts at the gym are actually doing me some good.

Probably so. Not enough protein for breakfast 5 hours earlier. I came in and ate an energy bar and was fine in 5 minutes.

Yep. I was up at my usual time, except it was an hour earlier than usual. At least we get to hit the gym early today. Probably see the usual folks there, though.

There was talk a while back about doing away with clock change. At first I was excited at the thought, but after looking into it, not changing would mean on the shortest day of the year the sun wouldn’t rise until 8:30 in the morning. That’s not a good alternative.

The weather is the issue for me. I don’t care about the dark. Matter of fact I like the dark.

I am also retired so I don’t get up in the morning and drive in the dark, so I understand your reason.

I love winter and fall here. Cool temps mostly in the 60s and 70s. Our summers climb into 100s plus and I can’t stand that. That’s how I got into the habit of taking nighttime walks, to avoid the heat.
