The new company I just started working for has a shutdown between Christmas Eve and New Years so the wife and I just booked plane tickets to Portugal. No real agenda yet. The last couple of years we've sorta been scoping out cities in other countries for a potential second home location for retirement.

We're planning to stay in Lisbon, but take day trips and possible overnight trips. Any suggestions? It's our first time in country.

We always try to plan a winter showshoe trip and a summer backpacking trip. Last Jan we spent a week in Stanley Idaho to snowshoe in the Sawtooth mtns. Lots of trails and hot springs to relax in also. This year I don't think we will take a snowshoe specific trip but we do plan to take a couple week road trip out west to scout some areas to potentially move to, and then hit some trails and snowshoe different areas.

For future planning, I'd recommend a trip to Devil's Thumb Ranch in Colorado for amazing snowshoe experiences.

So……..I got an email alert that the UDE registration for Citi Field taking place next month from the 4th-7th is open. I spontaneously booked for 3:30 On Saturday the 6th and hit up my brother in law who lives in northern NJ. Looks like I’ll be flying into Newark Friday night the 5th for a quick vacation. Hopefully they’ll be timed laps unlike Philadelphia earlier this year.

If I draw unlucky and get her as my own personal nurse nightingale, then it was nice knowing you all. Tell the cops to peek in her freezer and defrost her stews in particular.

Asheville is a great, fun town, enjoy. Biltmore tour is ok, not sure I'd do it again.
