We hit the water about 1045 Sunday. Fueled up but bait pump failed so we got 2 boxes of frozen squid. Offshore warm wind so I lost my shirt at the dock and put it back on at sunset

We had 2 hoops so caught a couple smaller sandies then dumps the hoops. Trolling between then with a fresh bass lure snagged a couple smelt and added them to the hoops. Several crabs but no lobster

We would pick several pots then hook one to the side cleat and ended up landing somewhere between 20-25 legal sandies but wasn't sure wife was going to make tacos so catch/pic/releas

Thoughts on Grady White? Worth the money? Looking at 30 Marlin for west coast fishing.

Got this guy in december, last drift of the day. Whooped my butt, but I never passed the rod.
I sell electric reels as a side business, fish out of Venice, Louisiana.

Went out Sunday after the small craft was lifted. Cruised up the coast with my 2 brothers and my cousin.
I caught a bat ray (fun, until I had to pull the hook out and the fucker kept slashing that tail at me) and a small sandie. Nobody else even got a bite.

Hopped with 2 nets and got 2 crabs and a bug. Crushed the crabs to put in the bait box before catching the bug.

Barely limped back to the dock, I think either the fuel filter is clogged or the carb needs some serious adjustment. . .

Wished I can be on the water sooner than May. Been very busy since Nov (last time I was on the water). Looking to book a few trips in May and July.

Will be do some shopping at Fred Hall show this weekend. Got some great deals at last year's show.

Have a few mid range trips planned out for May as well.

Tight lines!

Went on a party boat yesterday with lots of "large size" sand dabs too. Rock fish action has not been great the last few weeks but caught a few for dinners.

Going to fish for a few days on the Independence in May. Been wanting to get on that boat for a while now.

Don't laugh. My setups are 30 mono, 60 and 100 braided. Been using the 60 lb setup the most for rock fish

Any of the Chesapeake guys get out during the opening of Striper Trophy season last weekend?
My buddy and I went out north of the Bay Bridge and marked plenty of fish and bait on the dropoffs but only had 1 solid take while trolling but lost the fish during the fight. Probably going to try again this weekend cause we're gluttons for punishment.
