A realistic grail for me would be the SS Rolesor Skydweller with the blue dial.

Awful experience with Jomashop. Its a bunch of scammers.

They sent me a watch, it came broken, i shipped it back to them. Somehow magically it arrived back to them with no watch inside. So they didn't refund me and made me chase fedex for the money (which they eventually refunded because i insured it).

Awful, just awful

Purchased a watch from Chronostore. They were pretty good actually, guy was really nice and reasonable.

The watch needed to be serviced after a month, he actually offered to replace it, but instead i just sent it to breitling.

I recommend

If you are looking for a used watch, you can't go wrong with the search engine www.watchrecon.com
It pulls in a ton of classifieds for new and used watches from a bunch of watch forums (TRF - The Rolex Forum, WUS - Watch U Seek).
Of course, you need to do your research to ensure you're dealing with a reputable person (references etc.), but can be a great tool to use to understand pricing of the market for a particular piece.
There are quite a few second hand dealers with stellar reputations advertising as well.
Dude! Sell that and finance your kids' education!

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that I'll ever part with this watch. It is irreplaceable, plus it was my grandfathers. If I were to ever sell it, I'd never be able to get it back again.

I am in good shape with my daughters education fund. She's only five right now and started a 529 program when she was born. By the time she's ready for college, all the funds will be there no problem.

Here's another pic.

I don't even like the same thing myself for long. My one and only watch rule when buying - do not purchase anything until I have wanted the same exact timepiece for 6 months.

Come on guys no one's grail is a BMW Chronograph?

I jest, I've always had a love for RMs but haven't gotten around to adding one to the collection, so I'll lean in that direction.

I've always found car branded watches to be a bit tacky.. or is that just me?

The Breitling for Bentley I've always liked, but the standard stamp brand X on generic watch Y watches, never been a big fan of.

I just bought my Chopard from Crown & Caliber. Fast shipping, watch was is excellent condition as advertised, and included box and papers.

Even the Breitling for Bentley, for me I think it dilutes both brands.
I like both of their products separately, but together it's a bit naff.
Theres obviously a market for them, otherwise they wouldn't do it.
Personally I think it's a bit of "ooo look at my watch, it makes people think I drive a whatever car" when more often than not they don't. Even if they did, for me, I still think it's a bit tacky.
I think high end watches are more desirable without the additional branding.
But hey, each to their own, and I'm not trying to detract from how you feel about them, just my personal opinion, which counts for absolutely nothing

I've always had good-luck with www.watchrecon.com

It pulls in sales threads for a number of different watch forums (The Rolex Forum - TRF, Watch U Seek - WUS, etc.) and the sales thread can vary from NIB, lightly used etc.
Most of the sellers are legit for sure. You can get references from them before you buy. You can save quite a bit of money over a new watch from an AD for may brands/models.

Just do your homework and you'll be fine.
What are you looking for specifically? I'd be willing to help locate what you're looking for.
