Isn't alpine white the color of most actual BMW race cars? Thats got cred.

Any and all of the Blues for me, especially Interlagos and Estoril.

But the real issue is whether to pronounce it "her-rez" or "her-reth."

The MotoGP commentators can never seem to agree whether to use the Castilian "lisp."
With the lisp, as in the drink and town

2017 BMW M3 ZCP  [0.00]
So this thread would be less entertaining if the title read "Unique BMW colors with some history and cool pics". COOL thread highlighting past unique colors. Let's just hope BMW brings back some similar colors in the future instead of 5 versions of bland and a few ugly look at me colors.

Imola
Silver stone
San Morino blue

I assumed Valencia Orange was so named because the Valencia region of Spain is known for growing oranges. Didn't realise it was named after a street circuit!

I love Interlagos because of its very subtle purple hues. The purple hues in San Marino are just a bit over the top for my tastes.

Just one point, Austin Yellow was officially offered on the M6 Competition Edition which was a limited edition car, not for individual orders so it should be listed on the Austin Yellow section

Also, why hasn't BMW made a 'ring green yet?

Techno Violet was the
E34 color. It appeared first on the Executive Package in Europe that was available E34 color. It appeared first on the Executive Package in Europe that was available View post on imgur.com
. On the V8 models it was a special order paint only.

The first E36 M3 with Techno Violet was built a
year later with the series production year later with the series production View post on imgur.com
. And yes, on the E36 it was the M/M Sport color only, but that is not where the Techno Violet color comes from.
Interesting. Great colour. I've seen it on the M5 (I think the BMW one off convertible is Techno Violet).

Thanks for posting.

Honestly, I have no idea what color the E34 M5 convertible is. I always thought it was Diamond Black, but it does appear purplish on some photos.

As for the production E34 M5, there were only 4 them in Techno Violet. Three sedans and one touring.

San Marino Blue is my favorite BMW color of all time, but damn I miss my LeMans M3. It's hard to beat a BMW in the right shade of blue.

Laguna Seca Blue, hands down.

But, I had no idea my Jerez Black was named after a race track. You have made my day, thank you
