Boiled diced celery and baby carrots again here this morning, with a turpentine chaser (*).

(*) One of the regional grocery chains in our area has a new line of "craft" soft drinks, and is giving away sample bottles with every purchase. This morning, my DW cracked open a bottle of some sort of ginger soda. I took one sip, and it tasted like turpentine. I think we'll be using the rest to clean paint brushes.....

They are opening up a WC in Orlando. I'm going to have to drive 2.5hrs each way every weekend to get me some murder burgers.

Last time I had them was when I went to the Bronx Zoo three years ago on a quick weekend trip to NYShitty with the family.

They are awesome for breakfast, even cold out of the refrigerator.

No Krystals in your area? Hold the mustard, add ketchup.

FWIW, I've done 1,100 mile A-B and B-A testing of White Castle versus Krystals burgers. They are pretty close, but I give a slight edge to the Krystals both fresh and after 1,100 miles. It might also be because Krystals doesn't have 5 holes in their patties.....

In my teens, single, ran 6 miles every day, BMI off 22 and no cholesterol (might be due to the bottle of Red wine).

Highly recommended . I still have it 4 times a week with a bottle of wine except if its for breakfast... Frown upon by my better half

The only Krystal was about 25mi from me and they went our of business a long time ago. I've had them up at Daytona, and they aren't the same.

But when they do open the WC in Orlando I can assure you I'm gonna have 15 of those little buggers lol.

Spending a few days in the mountains, so grabbed a few things at the local orchard/bakery/winery. Couldn't decide whether to start today with the apple cinnamon bread, apple fritter, or a cherry or apple fried pie.

Going with coffee and the apple cinnamon bread.

Sunday morning I had chicken/waffles. I had never had the whole deal plopped down on top of a white gravy, then they squirted honey instead of syrup. Gotta say, would eat again!

Today's breakfast was plain tea, with a cup of vegetable broth. On the bright side, at least I'm not NPO...yet.....

Oh I so miss breakfast. Mine is a banana with 5 cashews, 20 almonds, and 15 cranberries every day at 2. My real breakfast is just a big swig of water every morning.
