Whenever one of these threads come up, I can never figure out why the original author felt so strongly about this. The 'kids' on here that have these cars, me being one of them, are lucky to have what they have; however, I don't think it's fair to label teenagers with nice cars as all being spoiled, rotten kids. You'll never see me making a smoking u-turn or telling people I drive a BMW.

If you're going to post a thread about 'kids having nice cars,' maybe you should talk about the attitude that accompanies the cars. Not all of us that drive BMWs are ungrateful and not all of us flaunt our 'spoiled gifts.' I wash and wax my car weekly, and I baby it to death. I also park my car 7 blocks away from school, for fear that someone like you won't understand and will do some sick act and defile the car, and honestly, I think it's really sad that I have to do that - that people are so enraged by the sight of someone 'less worthy' than themselves driving a nicer car.

As a member of this forum, I contribute to best of my ability. I'm on post 568 in just 2 months and I have started many threads and even written a DIY. Outside of my car life, I'm a senior in high school. My GPA this semester is 4.5 and I'm currently taking 4 AP classes. In addition to my academics, I'm a freelance graphic designer/photographer. I also run a server from my home computer, which I use to host files/websites for individuals as well as voice communication servers. Does all of this mandate some right for me to drive a BMW, no. But I'd challenge you to meet me in person and decide for yourself if I'm the stereo typical spoiled teenager.

There are plenty of kids that act like kids, but there are also plenty of adults that act like kids as well.

Wow, I honestly feel like an idiot for even responding to your post.

And, btw, don't think your BMW is so much above a Honda. Try to work that condescension out of your tone - you're no better than anybody else buddy.

What has this 17 year old done in is life to deserve an awesome car like the 330i, let alone a 335i?

ye. it ends with a pop to the face!!!! jk, i dont know you, and I also see where your coming from.

I cant get some people, i am Sooooo impressed at my parents for getting me a car nonetheless a 325. Its more than ANY 17 old should have, i have a very good idea about the value of a dollar, which is why, since i didnt pay for this, i keep it up as if im taking care of it for someone, its flawless. Honestly it did not feel like "my car" until 6 months into the purchase of the vehicle. And i dont understand how some can feel this car as obsolete and the need to upgrade...its 30K+!!!! THATS ALOT of hardwork and sweating hours....Props to all the hard workers that've got their cars, you deserve it honestly. MY parents do at least.

Thats the POV of a "Spoiled little 17 year old"

Ironic: I repect the fact that you have multi talents involving school and computer graphics related. A 4.5 gpa is really impressive dude. Btw, it sucks that you have to park your car 7 blocks away from school.

I've been very blessed in my life. While my parents aren't "rich" we're very blessed. I'm an only child so I have gotten more than most growing up.

But it's far from what a lot think. I was raised to know how to save a dollar and the value of hard work(although I've never really had to work hard). I saw that first hand when my dad started his own business.

Can't wait till I can buy my dad a '56 Chevy, a car he dreamed about since he was 16. There's nothing that would make me happier to repay him for all he's done for our family.

+1 you bet that's the same thing I'll be doing. Except, instead of a car, I think he's always wanted a house further outside of the city.

Sweet. A house would definately surprise him.

My dads really been winding down his business the last few years. In '06 he actually started leaving work mid afternoon and doing the minor stuff at home in front of the tv with a beer.

They've already got a couple lots in Brenham and are planning on moving out there in the next year or so.

Good luck with your goal for your pops.
